About Michael C. Liu
Chief Instructor for The Human Stage

Michael C. Liu has spent over two decades doing what most leadership trainers only talk about: performing under pressure, holding audiences in the palm of his hand, and building genuine human connection — night after night, on stage and on screen.

A member of Actor's Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA with lead credits across film, theater, and television, Michael doesn't teach theory or jargon. He brings the real skills that professionals use — and translates them, precisely, for the world's stage. His lectures, workshops, and presentations have benefited professionals across sales, marketing, conflict negotiation, customer services, and more.

He holds an Ed.D. in Instructional Leadership from St. John's University, an M.F.A. in Acting from Taipei National University of the Arts, and an M.A. in Arts Politics from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. As an Assistant Professor at CUNY's Borough of Manhattan Community College, he has spent nearly a decade researching how the arts build human competency.

The Human Stage is where that research meets the stage. Every workshop is evidence-based, field-tested, and built around one principle: acting is the most powerful yet least explored art form that could transform everyone for the better regardless of their background and experience.
